1st Pitch Shows Community Support

In my time teaching, coaching, and working in athletic administration I don’t ever remember a Superintendent attending a high school baseball game.  I am proud to report that changed during this year’s Kickoff Classic.  Dr. Moloney, Superintendent of Evergreen Public Schools, threw out the 1st pitch of Friday’s 4:00 game in the Stan Spencer bracket at Heritage High School.  Additionally, Dr. Fowler (Director of Programs and School Performance) also threw out the 1st pitch of the 7:00 game in the Alan Embree bracket at Union High School.

Saturday, the parents of Taylor Williams threw out the 1st at pitch Camas High School.  The Camas bracket is named for their son, Taylor Williams.  Williams graduated from Camas and went onto play for the Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres, Miami Marlins, and the San Francisco Giants.

We were thrilled to share the excitement of this event with them and very much appreciate their continued support!
